Short Biography
Ema Amalia received her bachelor’s degree in 1997 from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Institut Teknologi Bandung. Shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree, she was assigned as a lecturer at the same Department. Between 1998 and 2002, she researched airfoil database development and was involved in the wind tunnel industry. In 2002, she received her Master’s degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Institut Teknologi Bandung, with the thesis titled: Conceptual and Aerodynamics Design of SmallSky Aircraft. In 2004 she was assigned as Assistant Professor at the same Department. In the aerospace engineering study program, she teaches various courses including aircraft aerodynamics and flight performance, incompressible aerodynamics, compressible aerodynamics, and computational aerodynamics. Her current research interests are Computational Fluid Dynamics, the design of supersonic wind tunnels, and aerodynamics code development.
