Short Biography
Hendarko, S.T., M.Sc., is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). After finishing his Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering at ITB in 1997, he joined the Department of Aerospace Engineering ITB and spent about a year to work part-timely at the Flight Test Center Division of Indonesian Aerospace (formerly IPTN). He then pursued his study at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering TU Delft, The Netherlands, from which he obtained his Master degree in 2000. He spent some years doing some research at the Institute of Flight Systems German Aerospace Center before rejoining the Flight Physics research group of ITB. He has been taking part of teaching some subjects including Airplane Aerodynamics and Flight Performance, CNS (Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance), and Flight Simulation. His current research interest includes flight performance, handling qualities, and flight testing of manned and unmanned aircrafts. In his spare times, Hendarko enjoys playing Rubik’s cube and jigsaw puzzle as well as listening to classical/instrumental music. He also likes to release his energy by outdoor activity such as jogging, walking/hiking, and swimming.
